We had a week in a beautiful cottage in Devon a few weeks ago, Combe Martin to be exact.
The weather was gorgeous nearly all week and we had a wonderful, relaxing, indulgent time.
While we were away our lovely neighbour, Cath looked after our cat beautifully for us and for that she got some goodies from Devon and this card.

Happy Halloween...
Happy Halloween to everyone. I've got the sweeties ready for the Trick or Treaters, the pumpkin is carved and we are watching Halloween later tonight. I LOVE Halloween.

Back From Cornwall...
Hi there! We returned home from Cornwall on Saturday after a really lovely holiday. The weather went from this:-
To this:-
And back again! I got both sun burnt and trench foot on this holiday! It was fantastic though. We stayed in a lovely little cottage in Mousehole and just went sight-seeing, eating, drinking Bacardi and cokes and sleeping. It was perfect. Even the weather. Dave preferred the bad weather because he said it made for better photos. Look what I found in St. Ives...
Yes, I bought something. I bought an umbrella to match my day bag. Never been in a Cath Kidston shop before, I couldn't believe it! I had to really reign myself in and remind myself that a lot of the stuff is actually a bit overpriced for what it is and you are literally paying just for the name. Pretty though...
Look at what I spotted on a walk around Mousehole harbour...
My doctor did sign me off work for another three weeks, so I've got this week and next week off too. Starting to think that I'll never go back.

My Favourite Bit Of A Magical Day...
Apart from the absolutely stunning dress...
And a very nervous and cheeky (as always!) looking Harry (wouldn't you have LOVED to hear his best man's speech?)...
was THIS bit
what a wonderful touch, which just seemed so THEM
doesn't every girl want to be driven away by her prince in an Aston Martin on her wedding day?
I know I did...

Weekend Away...
Last weekend Dave and I took his Dad for a weekend away in Scotland. We stopped off just outside Glasgow first to visit relatives and then popped over to Dunoon.
We had to put the car on the ferry to get across. A very cold and windy crossing!
Dunoon is the place where Dave's mum and dad spent their best holidays and I think Dave's dad wanted to go a have a look at the place one last time. Unfortunately Dave's mum is housebound so she had to stay at home but I think he enjoyed himself.
This is the two handsome men I spent my weekend with and that is the hotel we stayed at in the background. Great hotel with wonderful staff, highly recommended.
Just look at our room!
Dunoon is a pretty place but not much to do, which suited Dave and I just fine, we spent two days doing nothing but eat, drink and sleep - usually in that order!

Happy Halloween ...
Dave's gone a bit mad decorating the outside of our front garden fence:-
I was responsible for the decorating indoors. You'd think we were having a party or we'd got little kids, but there's only the two of us today!
I love Halloween. I normally start trimming the house up on the 1st October but there was a bit of a saga surrounding the ladders to get up into the loft...another story!

I bought the "Eek" ornament from Michael's in New York!
