Last But Not Least...

This is the last Christmas card I stitched and was for my friend Em, who definitely deserves a stitched card.  She bought me a stunning lamp for Christmas, one of those with a pretend flame made out of fabric.  All I got her was a Laura Ashley mug.  Guilty!
Also here is a update of my Long Winter’s Nap socking.
The first page is nearly finished and I’ve had a ball doing it.  There is a lot of boring beard to do on the next page down but I loved that the first page had his face on it.

Been feeling a bit down lately.  I think my depression is rearing its ugly head again.  All I want to do is stay at home and hide, so I bought myself some beautiful tulips to try and cheer myself up a bit.  I’ve had two days off work and I’m due back tomorrow and I’m absolutely dreading it.  No particular reason, I just don’t want to go out.  I told my husband on Monday night that I felt content and he was really pleased to hear that, but it was only because I knew that I could hide away for the next two days at home.

Em’s Birthday...

Today was my best friend at work, Em’s birthday.  Notoriously difficult to buy for I very nervously presented her with this Laura Ashley cup and saucer and she loved it.
Of course I made her a card…
This was the card from us all at work, we all signed it.  She had a good day.

Christmas Card No. 11...

This one is the only one I stitched for any of my friends at work.  Me and Em are very close, we love each other very much even though she's a grumpy old cow !

Em's Birthday...

My best friend at work had her 65th birthday last Wednesday, we had a whip-round and bought her a big present from all of us but I wanted to make her a little bit of something.  I decided on a fob..
I think she liked it.  I also made her this card...
Speaking of work - I hate it and if I don't win the Lotto tonight I don't know what I'll do.

Christmas Card No. 8...

This one was made for my dear friend at work, Em. Her little granddaughter has a fascination with fairies so I thought she could pass it on to her after Christmas.

You Go Months Without A Birthday...

then three turn up at once! That's what it's been like at work this week! Two more birthdays, one on Saturday which was Laura's 23rd. It caused me great concern when I realised that I am twice her age!... and today is Em's, my lovely Em...
