These are what I settled on. They are having a boy and I didn't want anything ribbony or too babyish and these fitted the bill perfectly. Pattern was free from The Woman's Weekly website of all places and they are knitted in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. Dave wants me to knit him a pair in size 10!

Bec's Bootees ...
One of my colleagues at work Becs and her partner Donna are expecting a baby very soon. I'm very fond of Becs, one of the nicest people I've ever met, so I wanted to make her a little something. I had bootees in mind because packaged nicely in a gorgeous box and big bow they make a beautiful gift, I think.
