Halloween Cupcakes...

Wanted to share with you the cupcakes I made for my step-daughters Halloween party the other week.  I wanted black icing but despite using a whole bottle of paste it only turned out grey.  Never mind, I was still pleased with them

The black ones were lemon and poppyseed and the orange ones were chocolate and orange flavour.  Everyone at the party guessed straight away who had made them - I was really chuffed.

Kate's Birthday Card and Shortbread...

My friend at work, Kate, had a birthday on Monday and I made her this card and I also baked her some shortbread.  She's been nagging me for ages to make her some...so I did.  First time I've ever attempted it and I was very pleased with the result.  I got the recipe from here.

Jack Jack's First Birthday...

Yesterday was my step-grandson, Jack's 1st Birthday.  Here is the card I made him...

Not a lot of choice of 1st birthday card charts, I wouldn't have gone with this one if anything else had been available because I find clowns very spooky and so does Jack's mum.

I was also called upon to make cakes for his party which was today, so I made Malteser mini muffins and chocolate orange cupcakes...

Dave's Mum's 80th Birthday...

Yesterday we had a little party for Dave's mum. When a girl reaches 80 years old she definitely deserves a big chocolate cake and that is what I made for her

Dave's Birthday...

Saturday was my husband, Dave's 54th birthday. I paid for him to have is Strat guitar "pimped" up, a very posh shirt of the James May variety from House of Fraser and the new Andrew Martin book. We spent the day shopping in Derby and had a lovely lunch in Frankie & Bennys. Here is his card...
