HELP !!!

I have a favour to ask all of you out there.  I have the chart for Shepherd’s Bush Merry Be Pin Cushion but I don’t have the threads that came with it.  I believe they were silks and I suspect it would be expensive to buy them just for this little project.  Has anyone stitched this that could help, perhaps you converted it to DMC or similar?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
